Grade Deflation

if a certain undergrad program is notorious for grade deflation, do you think it would still be harder to get accepted into grad school because of a lower than average gpa?

(fyi, a "certain program" is referring to davidson college)

I'd say it would depend on what grad program you were applying to: most would take grade deflation into account, others wouldn't know or wouldn't care. Either way, you should always do your best.

davidson is very well known for its grade deflation. everyone knows it.

It depends. Medical schools tend to be less lenient than general grad scholols for undergraduate GPA. Some undergraduate schools are well known for GPA deflation. The graduate schools take this into account and sometimes even weight GPAs from certain undergraduate schools.
