I have a bit of an issue that I’d like to get some opinions on. In 10th grade I took my first AP class and did, well, not so good (83) and on the AP test did even worse (2). However, since then all my AP/IB/Honors grades have been in the mid to high 90s. On my supplement app. there is a space where I can explain anything that I’d like. I was wondering if it would be wise for me to explain that the grade was due to lack of maturity and such or should I just let it be?
Thanks!

Let it be. Your excellent grades since will speak for themselves. No need to call attention to the one flaw on your transcript, particularly since your excuse is not anything remarkable.
