what kind of inflation does michigan do to the GPas of its students?

Gives its students pretty good grades over all, but not more so then peer institutions.

The average in LSA is about a 3.2, don’t know the standard deviation. The average in Ross is I think a 3.6. The average in Engineering is 2.9, about .45 standard deviation. I’m told majors like Chem and Physics have low average GPAs (like around a 3.0) where as majors like psychology have high average GPAs, (like around 3.4).

yea depends on the program. Some engineering classes grade on the bell curve, so they experience deflation as opposed to inflation
