Does U mich have grade inflation or deflation? Does anyone know the average GPA for engineering or the entire school? Thanks.

grades are pretty deflated here I think.

avg for engineering is 2.9
top 1/8th of class has 3.8ish i think

Top 1/8? More like top 1/15th! Only the top 5% maintain 3.8+ GPAs.

Michigan has slight grade deflation.

So, is it not good for pursuing a Pre-Professional program in Michigan?

I don't know about that. Michigan is one of the best at professional graduate school placement. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report on professional graduate school placement, Michigan did very well.
