<p>Most introductory courses are curved to a B-. However, GPAs tend to be inflated a bit here - I believe I read the average GPA is something around 3.3 or so, but don't quote me on that.</p>
<p>yeah avg is around 3.3 - keep in mind that includes all majors for all undergrads. In general, science classes tend to be harsher in terms of grading than humanities courses. The social sciences from what I've seen tend to be a mix - there are some classes where its easy to get high grades and others, especially large intro lectures, where its harder to do so.</p>
<p>On balance, compared to our peer institutions, I suspect we're either in the middle or perhaps a little above average (more inflated).</p>
