Hey guys I'm considering applying to UCLA, so I was wondering how the grading policies are here. I'm going premed, so it is of some value to me. anyone care to comment?

Most of the pre-med track at UCLA is graded on a bell curve with a B/B- median. :rolleyes:

what do you mean flopsy?

im also considering applyin to UCLA btw, im going pre-dent. (almost same competitiveness in admission as med school)

there is no pre-dental (or pre-med or pre-pharm) major here.

i understand, but im talking about the bio/chem/phys classes here

all south campus courses are pretty competetive. Premed is especially competetive. Some classes aren't based on curves like LS1 (bio) with pires while others are based on curves like chem 14A (lavelle). I think for chem the curve actually helps you since the average grade is usually like a 65%ish which is curved to a B-. Again im not sure about other classes, but im pretty sure that the courses get harder as you progress in the bio/chem/phys series. Anyways, hope that helps.

Sciences = death.
