Grade my essay, Thank you!

Topic: Should heros be defined as people who say what they think when we ourselves lack the courage to say it?

Heros should not be defined as people who say what they think when we lack the courage to say it ourselves. Indeed numerous villians in the history of our world and in fiction have been incredibly outspoken. Hitler could not hace wooed his country into his palm without having been outspoken. And Emporer Palpatine of Star Wars could not have overthrown the Old Republic without being assertive in the midst of thousands of authoritative figueres.

Hitler belieived Jews were an inferior race to the Aryans. In a time where Germany was closely monitered by the outside world, Hitler mustered up the courage to rally his country out of a dormant state. Hitler found the courage to state his beliefs to millions of restless Germans. And Hitler was taking an incredible risk in denouncing Jews because he himself descended from a family of Jews. Yet, despite his assertive actions, Hitler in no way can be defined as a hero. Because of his courage, Hitler can be aptly described as the antithesis of a hero, killing of millions of helpless Jews.

Emporer Palpatine lord of the Sith was a seemingly innocuous chancellor. He was described as being softspken and compassionate. But underneath the snug guise, Palpatine was formulating a plan to overthrow the Republic. This would take immense courage. In a fateful meeting in the senate building, Palpatine denounced the Republic and the Jedi to thousands of authoritative figures surrounding him. Palpatine knew there was a great risk that he could have been killed in an instant by any one of the authoritative figures fearing for his or her powers. But like Hitler, Palpatine mustered his courage and shouted his thoughts in a terrifingly vulnerable position. And the end result was the same as Hitlers, the death of millions.

Indeed the virtue of courage does not always guarantee a hero. In fact, the same virtue can be the vice of any evil villian.

Thanks for reading. And yeah, Palpatine....I know

Your essay is well written, and you back up your examples with details. Your word choice is great; no misused vocabulary trying to impress.

It does seem a little bit short. Did you hand write this or just type it? If handwritten, does it use all the room allowed. The length will definitely affect your score. Try to add another sentence to your concluding paragraph. It looks skimpy. Remember, the reader only has a minute to look at the essay so appearance counts.

I did like the conclusion that a virtue can be vice and that courage isn’t all that is needed to make a hero.

I thought it was good. The examples were golden .

Yeah, i used up all the space given. I think i will write smaller and elaborate more on the test.

But the question is: What numerical value would you give my essay?
