Prompt: Should heroes be defined as people who say what they think when we ourselves lack the courage to say it?

My essay (first time practice under 25min; I've wrote a total of 13 essays before this one, but this is the first time I strictly timed my self.):
As living humans, we are always conscious of the things we do and words we say. Throughout history, many people had succumbed to their painful life because they were too scared to rise up against their fears. But when someone does do so, everything changes and a domino effect infects the sufferers with courage. Those first ones to lead the pack with his/her own courage are the ones that become forever heroes.

During the early 1900s, India, a slave country under Great Britain, was filled with people that suffered on a daily basis due to the harsh and dictatorial rule of the British. People, seeing the weapons that the British welded, were too cowardly to stand up for their rights. However one person thought differently, and through his innovative resistance methods, supporters of the "revolt" grew exponentially in no time. Soon enough, changes were beginning to happen and things finally took a turn for the better. This man was Muhammad Gandhi, the legendary protester that spoke out for the inhumane treatment of Indians and eventually brought India's independence. His ideology of peaceful resistance also gained in appreciation later on through Martin Luther King Jr's use of the exact same tactics to bring dramatic social changes for the blacks in US. These two great leaders were considered the heroes of their people, because they did and said things that everyone else felt too afraid to do or say. Their tenacity is what made them such great men, and more specifically, great heroes.

Through these real life examples, it is clearly seen that the people that are willing to do things that others are too scared to do are the true heroes. Because of them, people can finally rid their fears and replace them with courage. And only with these people, the world can be a better place.

Please grade on a scale of 0-12.
Although this is my first time writing a SAT essay under the time constraints, please be as critical as possible in your grading. I really want to improve in every way I can for the SAT in March. I welcome all meticulous graders/critics. Please tell me what I need to change and do better at. Also, tell me what I'm doing correctly, so I know what I should write for a good SAT essay.

Thank You All
