Is it important to question the ideas and decisions of people in positions of authority?

Questioning the authority is always better to maintain a safer environment, the authorities are mere people so they're susceptible to making mistakes like anyother human being. Several examples from history and current events prove that questioning the authority is better to maintain a safer environment.
Living in Egypt during the January 25th revolution, I think questioning the authority is a necessity for what I've found that the authority can sometimes be corrupt. Recent news indicate that Former President of Egypt Hosni Al-Mubarak has stolen money ranging from 70 to 90 billion dollars from Egypt. Now, because the people who had participated in the Jan. 25th revolution "questioned the authority" of Hosni Al-Mubarak, which eventually lead to his resignation, Hosni Al-Mubarak stopped stealing money from Egypt. had they not questioned his authority Hosni Al-Mubarak would've continued stealing money from Egypt.

also an example from history clearly demonstrates that questioning the authority is necessary to a safer environment. In 1955, Rosa Parks was asked to give up her seat to a white male but she refused saying " I can't move my leg hurts", she was then arrested for her refusal which lead to the Montgomery bus boycott that was organized on the day of her trial , December 5th, 1855. The boycott continued for 321 days and in 1956 the supreme court called to an end to racial segregation. this act of bravery of "questioning the authority" lead to an end to the segregation. Had Rosa Parks not said that her leg hurts racial segregation would not have ended. These two strong acts were done by questioning the authority, Rosa Parks questioned the authority by not giving up her seat and the revolutionists of the Jan 25th revolution questioned the authority by stopping Hosni Al-Mubarak from stealing, These to brave acts conclude that questioning the authority is indeed better to maintain a safer environment.
