Prompt: Is the world changing for the better?

Nowadays, we are constantly being flooded with tons of information by means of media. Sadly, the majority of news every day tells about the tragedies, fights and deaths of innocent people. However, I believe that a lot of these stories are presented in such a way so as to attract the attention of the viewer. Consequently, the media forgets to inform us about the positive things happening all around the world and successes achieved by the human race. The thesis that the world is changing for the better can be seen through environmental issues and fight for the human rights.

The first convincing example that people are trying to make their world a better place to live is observed through environmental issues. We often hear about scientists struggling not to let greenhouse effect or ultraviolet radiations destroy our planet. However, at the same time, we have to proudly admit that normal people succeeded in being convinced to change their habits so as to let the Earth flourish again. Many U.S. citizens are involved in recycling and have circumscribed the use of harmful aerosols. Through their actions they are trying to make the future of our planet more promising.

Another example of people working for the brighter future is illustrated by the actions of Amnesty International. The organization is intrepidly fighting for the rights of human beings who are unfairly treated or incarcerated by governments of their countries. Moreover, not only people working for Amnesty International are changing the world for the better. They also organize the actions for teenagers during which young people write letters to the governments, which are badly treating their citizens, asking to stop their brutal actions. By means of this, even the youngest are able to be giving the world a chance for the happy future.

As observed in these environmental and human rights examples, we have to admit that despite all the obstacles, people are harrowingly working for the prosperity of our world. Thanks to the actions of millions, it is unarguably changing for the better.

bumppppppp

I would give you an 8-9. 2 examples are not enough and your intro is not too strong. Grade mine?
