my essay:
Creativity is the foundation of all innovation. It is the vital tool that leads to ever-advancing technologies and discoveries. In the fierce world of competition, creativity is the paramount factor of success; such a notion is affirmed through various historical datas and successful thinkers.

Perhaps, creativity was no where as important to the survival of an industry as the textile industry. In the 1980s, Penn Textiles was a leader in textile manufacturing, and was a dominant company in the premium textile market. However, as the 1990s rolled on, china and India slowly began taking a monopoly over the premium-quality fabrics. Penn Textiles virtually went bankrupt, because it could not economically compete with the low-cost labor companies of Asia. However, the company’s owner, John Bower, decided to initiate a structural innovation of the company. Instead of supplying premium quality fabrics, the company switched over to high-quality industrial-level fabrics that would help the company dominate a niche market while increasing marginal profits. The result was unmatched success in the textile industry. The company’s profits increased by 185% With a little creativity, people can survive the voracious economic battle for profit.

Not only is creativity vital for the survival of business; architecture necessitates constantly changing approaches and styles. Take, if you will, the Sydney Opera House. Before its construction, John Utan, a prominent architect, was given the job to design an opera house that would be both aesthetically pleasing and practical. At first, he constructed blueprints of insipid rectilinear houses. However, one day, he had a burst of creativity that would shock the architectural world. His idea was to construct a building made entirely of semispheres, resembling a sliced orange. The result was an awe-inspring opera house that could meet the minimum capacity required. As a result, he won the prestigous Global Architectural Award of 1987. Clearly, Utan’s innovation was the key to his success; he applied a complex approach to an architectural problem, and earned well-deserved success.

Thus, as shown in innovative marketing and architecture, creativity, is indeed, vital to success in today’s world. Without creativity, advances in products and technology would be nonexistential.

Give me a grade, advice, comments, suggestions, questions!!Thx

It seems like you’re trying too hard to use big words at times, but 10-11/12 regardless. I don’t know how much of 2 pages you filled, but if you didn’t fill all of it, the score might be lower.

Pretty solid. Watch out for grammatical errors [e.g. historical datas, as the textile industry, given the job to design]. It’s in the 10-12 range.

Nice essay, strong examples. 10-11/12

When I read the assignment, I couldn’t think of any strong topics at all. You had nice examples. Did you research these two examples beforehand? I’m trying to find a good list of topics to research.

Yes, this was pre-researched.
I suggest you find topics that you are already interested in/ are knowledgeable on: research does not need to be in depth, just remember 2-3 facts about the person/ thing.

Remember, you need stuff that will show up on the prompts: creativity, selfishness, love, hard-work, technology, ect.

also, you can also create your own “facts”, or make up stuff, as long as it sounds real, and its not on a well-known topic.
