Grade my Spanish informal writing sample? I'll return the favor!

What score would you give this?

Here's was the prompt:

"Escribe un mensaje electr

Whoops, when I copied and pasted this I missed the first line, which says “Hola Carlos,”.

^Off topic, but are you Nepali?

No. I got that username from a random word generator.

I’d like to hear someone’s input before the actual test, so BUMP.

Well there are a few grammatical errors but I don’t know if that’s the result of typing or what i.e. “Que tal” needs an accent, as well as the upside down question marks & exclamation points. I might be missing a few grammatical errors, but I’m not altogether sure whether they’re errors or not so I won’t mention.

Another suggestion is that they like it when you use cultural references. So say you’re moving to Madrid or Buenos Aires and throw in a fact about them, instead of Seattle.

They also like when you use proper greetings: For informal writing, “Querido/Querida” instead of “Hola” and “Un abrazo” instead of “Saludos” to a friend, or at least “Carinosos saludos” (sorry I don’t have an squiggly thing over the n here. It’s kind of pathetic that I’m about to take the AP spanish exam and I don’t know what the squiggly thing is called.)

And you might want to throw in a sentence saying “I’m so excited to see you” so you can properly express "tu alegr

-Actually, I posted this to hear what los foreros thought were/weren’t errors. So, would you mind explaining what you thought was wrong?

-Regarding the accent on "qu

Okay. I’ve never seen “que tal” been used with a verb before, i.e. que tal has estado. I always thought it was just stood alone as “how are you?” or “what’s up?” Como has estado makes more sense. (sorry I’m not typing with accents.)

“Espero que te la pases bien”…what is la referring to here?

“Te escribo”…might make more sense as “Te estoy escribiendo” but it’s not really an error.

“se va a mudar”… are you using irse here, or ir+a+infinitive? If its the former I’m not sure if you need the “a,” if it’s the latter I’m not sure if you need the “se.” Could be wrong here though.

“tan dificil”…I think it makes more sense to say “es por eso que hicimos esta decision dificil” or “muy dificil”, either that or “es por eso que hicimoso esta decision que es tan dificil.”

“conozco”…should that be future?

-"Qu

Don’t start your letter off with hola… the correct salutation for an informal letter is “querido/a…” and in closing "con cari
