<p>my d, (inattentive ADD, had a 504) started AP USH with a teacher who didn’t really teach, simply tested them in every class, expecting them to have read the material. my d found the teaching style a poor fit for her and felt overwhelmed and wanted to drop the class, the teacher pushed back. she asked for my support and we met with the teacher and gc, (very early on-say first 3 wks) teacher stated she needs to get used to this “this is how college classes are taught, testing in every class” I shared that I never had a college or grad school class like that, which fortunately was supported by d’s gc. d was then permitted to drop the class. I hoped the gc had a word with the teacher after our conference as clearly he was impacting many kids with what seemed like a fairly lazy teaching approach. only class my d ever felt the need to drop…</p>
