Grade of F FOR UC'S

JUNIOR YEAR: I failed my Honors Physics class with an "F" during my first semester. And I withdrawled second semester. During the summer after my Junior year, I retook Descriptive Physics w/LAB at a community college. Since the Descriptive Physics course wasn't exactly the same course, I understand my grade won't be replaced.

So does this mean that I can't even apply to a UC, since I have an F on my transcript? But technically I do fulfill my science requirements since the summer course counted as a year long course.

Go over to UC General section, UCDAdmission, an adcom from UCD will be able to answer this question. He is open to question until 11:59 P.M to help students out.

You can apply to the UCs if you meet their minimum eligibility requirements, which I believe is a 3.0 GPA. However, the F for your Physics class won't meet an a-g requirement. Yet, that doesn't seem like that's a problem for you. You just have to realize that that's on your record still.
