Hello, so I talked to my counselor about a class I received a “C” in. Since I passed the class, I am not allowed to retake it. However, because I’m moving onto calculus 2, I need to take calculus 1 at a difference district. My question is: if I take calculus at a different district and get an A/B, what happens to my “C”? Will the UC’s only look at the C? Will they average it out? Will they take the new grade? Also, I want to retake the class because I barely know nothing and have to take calculus 2 and calc based physics…
In a different posting, you wrote that you, ‘barely passed’ Calc 1, but in this post, you state that you earned a ‘C’ grade. Which is it?
If you take Calc 1 again elsewhere, I doubt if you can use the new grade to replace the previous grade. Is it really true that you cannot retake Calc 1 at the same school? At my college, a student can retake a course, but they can’t get financial aid to pay for the retake.
If the goal is to simply learn more about Calc 1 topics before moving on, you can simply audit the course at your current college. Your prof may just let you sit in without actually registering to audit.
You can also take calc for free online.
