Graded Paper Confusion

Hey everybody! I’m applying to Princeton SCEA and just had a few questions about submitting the graded paper. I know Princeton reccomends submitting a 2-3 page paper on their website. I have an amazing paper I wrote junior year (a capstone paper for my AP Lit Class) that I’d love to submit as I feel it is the best work I’ve ever wrote and has a lot of teacher comments, but it is far above the reccomended length (it’s ten pages long not including citations). I do have another paper that would fall within the 2-3 page limit, but it wasn’t my best work and the teacher comments point out a lot of mistakes I made. I was unsure if I should submit the longer paper that was longer but (in my opinion) better, or the essay that falls within the reccomended length but wouldn’t be the best representation of my work. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Realize that they probably won’t get past the first page or 2, so if those first 2 pages are indicative of the writing of the entire paper and are your best 2-page work, it’s probably OK.

I would agree with @skieurope . I submitted a 10 page policy paper, and I was admitted. Good luck!

I specifically asked Princeton Admission this question and they said 2 page is just a guideline. Submit what you believe represents your best work.
