Graded Paper?

I’m planning to submit a graded paper I did from economics. Would that be too technical or would it be ok? Also if there is any kind soul willing to help me check it I would be really grateful. Would it be ok to send a photocopy? I’m planning to submit it at some other colleges too.
Thanks!

D sent in a graded paper from her Comparative Lit class. I think she sent the photocopy but I could be mistaken.

Just my opinion, but I think any paper that shows a student’s best writing skills, including analytical skills, would be a good one to submit. My D scanned a paper & attached it as a PDF file that she did for an English class. But I think a paper from any class will be fine as long as it’s fairly “meaty” & lengthy (2-3 or more pages - again, IMO - but you should call Bard to ask).

FYI, it seems that “typical” lengths of papers that my D has been doing this past semester at Bard have been 5-7 pages. She said one time a prof from one of her classes went easy on her class by shortening an assigned paper to “only” 4-6 pages. :-)

So true, irvinemom! My junior D now complains when anyone wants “only” 3-5 pages - she says you can’t get anything substantial said in that length. (This was an advantage during her recent study abroad semester, when people from other schools were complaining about “all the writing” in England and she was feeling like she had lots of free time!)

That sounds fine. I think I sent a paper from a law class I took, though since it was more than 2 years ago, I don’t really remember. I’m pretty sure I sent a copy of it and not the original, as well.

I know this is an old thread, but when it asks for graded do we just submit the paper or does it have to have my teacher’s markings on it? Thanks.

I don’t believe Bard requires a graded paper to be submitted any more. There was no mention of it on the common app, and D2 was just admitted EA without submitting one.
