I’m in the IB Diploma program, so this basically means I have done 0 essays or commentaries that haven’t been sent off to the IBO. As such, I have no essays with teacher comments or a grade. What do I submit? I have in-class essays but I don’t think that’s what they want.
- If it matters, my SAT Essay score was a 23/24.
According to the instruction: If you have submitted the essay section of the SAT or the writing section of the ACT there is no need to submit a graded paper. I don’t believe AOs have extra time to read your graded paper when they see your SAT Essay score. In the old days, there was no graded paper at all. This is extra work for them.
I agree, but did you confirm with your teachers or IB coordinator that they did not keep any copies? My son is getting a paper from his junior year IB lang teacher. She keeps copies and will have to grade it herself rather than have the grade from international.
my school keeps copies but they only give us completion grades. our program is too large for teachers to hand out actual grades until the course is finished. unfortunately, all of my humanities courses are two-year HL classes or senior year classes
Yes, my son’s Lang and HOA classes are HL also. He just asked for a copy of his WIT paper from junior year and asked his lang teacher to grade it and include a rubric.
