Grades: A Common Misconception Among Ivy League College Admissions?!

"When was this? I remember that Lisa had a nightmare about going to Brown University because of a grade slip (apparently, Groundskeeper Willie is an alumnus), and one about having to go to Vassar College because of a teacher's strike."

It was when the family gets arrested for fighting over monopoly and they have to have a social worker at their house who they think is an angel. Lol groundskeeper willy is awesome

I have received marketing materials from many colleges as a result of my college board registration. I presume the colleges that send you that stuff believe that you meet their admission requirements as a result of the info. you provide to the college board? Interesting, among the literature I have received are two invitations to apply to two very selective (non-Ivy League) schools. These schools are so hot; they need not send out anything! Hopefully -- my SAT scores were 'okay', according to them and find me an attractive candidate or am I just 'dreaming'?

The mail is nice but don't read too much into it. Even the most selective schools in the country send out tons of letters and brochures to thousands of students that they will very happily reject next April.

You feel the love now, but in the long run it's not sincere.

I figured.

Its one of the ways a college can increase their selectivity to intice more people to apply- even if you will definately get rejected. Just look at WashU lol

Good point.
