I really wanna go to Stanford and I am applying this year. (Well...obviously u can tell by my user name...) I wonder if I have all A+'s for high school courses and an A+ and a C for Stanford summer school courses, will Stanford reject me/accept me regarding the C/regardless of the C? I just want to know how strong the C can affect the admission process.

Are you required to report the C for the Satnford summer school course? If it’s not on your transcript and you aren’t getting high school or college credit for it, I’d recommend mentioning that you took the summer classes and got an A+ in the subject that you probably care more about anyway. (I assume you aren’t planning to major in the subject you got the C in, right?)

No Stanford won’t reject you for one C, but why report it at all if it’s not required?

I don’t know if it is required, but the thing is that there is actually an item which is about any college courses you’ve taken that you need to fill out on the CommonApp sheet. If I wanna send it, there will be an official transcript provided by Stanford and I think I’ll get credits for both of the courses…

And…I messaged my professor and he said that I got a C was because I misunderstood some guidelines or instructions for one part on the final, and I didn’t answer the question in the correct format or writing enough paragraphs; I got nearly perfect on other questions though. Isn’t it true that AOs would reject people getting low grades because they think the students are not of good ability to study? I don’t think my ability is any worse just because a low grade for instruction problems, and it’s not fair cuz you don’t get a chance to claim that.
