Grades at Columbia

<p>I probably won't get in anyway, but I'm starting to wonder about grades at Columbia. Is it a major focus?</p>

<p>I know this may sound like I value a GPA over an education (which I don't!) but how hard is it to maintain a 4.0 at CC? The only reason I ask is because I've had straight A's in high school and my parents have sort of come to expect it...I don't want to let them down but I don't know how do-able a 4.0 at an ivy league school is...</p>

<p>most people come in here with straight As, but the average gpa here is a 3.4.</p>

<p>Does seas offer a grade on 4.0 scale?</p>

4.0 = A
3.67 = A-
3.33 = B+
etc...</p>
