Hi I was just wondering whether its $8/call or $8/grade

Pretty sure per call.

It's per call.

My son will start dialing the phone at 11:59 p.m. on June 30. He won't be home when he gets them in the mail.

It definitely can't be per grade since a not-for-profit monopolistic corporation such as the College Board wants to save students money.

^^^

haha...NON PROFIT.....BS....lol....

I don't get how ONE phone call can cost $8... its not as if an actual person told you the grades you got: it's an automated machine that looks up your AP scores... 8 bucks for a machine to tell you a few numbers... wow

^ Maybe they need to gather enough money to pay for the machine? Not for Profit baby

so $8 for ALL the exams you've done in the year? yea I find it stupid too, if they want money, do it with the SAT, they'll get a lot more that way. AP exams costed more already.

So you can get your scores earlier if you call?

^Thats basically the whole point (aside from the collegeboard ripping off your money part)...

Yeah they were available the 27th last year, I believe. And it's definitely $8/call. And you can make the automated lady repeat them as many times as you want! :]

Does anyone know how much earlier you can get your scores? I've heard that it's only like a 1-week advance for most. I can wait if its not like a month's difference from the mailing.

I got my scores on June 28th last yr.

Yeah somewhere around that time. Definitely before the 30th, though.

Yeah, you can usually get the a few days before July 1st.

Will the call go through if you try before July and scores aren't available? There's a prompt before you pay, right?

Don't worry, when they ask you to pay, the grades are already up by phone. College board isn't mean enough to force you to pay for a message telling you to check later.

I believe they'll also notify you if any of your grades are not available yet.

I wouldn't waste money using this...$8 per phone call?! That's ridunkulous...

I dont remember last year, but the year before that, I called for my son, who was away. Two days later they came in the mail. It just depends how much you can handle delayed gratification. I try to instill that in my kids, but as it turns out I am not very good at it.
