the High school which I attend starts in 8th grade. My grades from that year were good and also bring my GPA up because it was fairly easy. I have read that some colleges do not consider freshman year grades, so I was wondering if anyone knows if these grades to count.

They only count to the extent that if you took certain classes and get high school credit for them (geometry, foreign language, etc) , you must pass them. No college will care what your 8th grade grades were.

yeah, i agree with bessie.

My school does not start in the 8th grade, but I took high school classes then anyway, but I'd have to agree they'd only count it if it were a core class like math, science, or english. Not Pre-Algebra or anything like that either but Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II.
