Grades in non academic classes-do they matter?

I'm applying to a few selective schools including Ivies. In my core subjects, I have a solid 94 average (I think thats 3.9). However, I take a few religious classes every year in which I have mostly A minuses, which brings down my total GPA. Will colleges care?

Nonacademic classes do matter, you don’t want to look like you don’t try hard etc.
However, as long as you have an A-, as long as you’re still ranked highly enough within your school, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.

If you have time to improve your grades do, higher grades are obviously better.
If you don’t, there’s nothing you can do by worrying about it.
