grades in RPI

i am officially scared. :frowning: hahah.

Donā€™t be. While it is true that grading at RPI is tough, it is not impossible. I am dual majoring in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Psychology and I am doing all of that with a high GPA (and yes I am involved in extracurricular things as well). The whole trick to doing well is time management and working hard. If you get accepted into RPI, it means that you can handle the workloadā€¦itā€™s just a matter of how much time and effort you put into it. Chem 1 is very badmouthed by students at RPI, because most engineers donā€™t really think it is important and canā€™t stand it. If you do end up coming here, donā€™t go into the course thinking that it will be a waste of time or that it will be hard. Go in with a positive attitude and try your best.

yankeeplayer24- as a freshman, you will be taking mainly introductory courses, such as Calculus 1 and 2, Physics 1, Chem 1, etc (unless you place out using APā€™s). As scary as grading may sound, doing well in these courses is not that hard, and like Zeronax said, Cornell is not any easier than RPI (engineering at least), so it will be good for you to see where you stand.
