I am a senior currently and have 5 classes , all AP .
I got 3 B’s this semester -
AP Calc BC - 83
AP Statistics - 88
AP MacroEco - 88
AP Psych - 90
AP Literature - 90
How much will my college chances be affected? - I got into UT, A&M and have Georgia tech and MIT results to come in the next few months. I will make sure to get my A’s next semester but how much will this impact me?
Please help!!
This “might” hurt at MIT if you are RD, but you should be fine for the rest of them. Do your best, and don’t let them slip into a D or F.
I don’t see how this won’t hurt apps to MIT and Georgia Tech. MIT’s acceptance rate was about 6% and Georgia Tech 19% (oos) last year. Your math grade, in particular, is quite low, and these are math/engineering schools! Next semesters grades won’t help you, but make sure you don’t go below a C so you won’t get rescinded from the schools you got into already.
I am applying to tech schools as well and was wondering if a B in AP stats would hurt my app if I am applying as an applied math major D:
These grades are still high enough to no cause any acceptance to be rescinded but I would definitely be concerned about your competitive RD schools.
