My niece, top 10% at large suburban Phila high school, is having some serious senioritis. She is about to get a C and maybe also a D in two APs. Does anyone know how Penn State handles a drop in grades? Will they rescind admissions? How low can you go? :) She is going for engineering. Thanks for the help.

I'm probably gonna have an F this six weeks in Math. but I'm not worried. If she already enrolled then I don't think they're gonna kick her or me out.

Just tell her to hang in there for a few more months. It's not worth risking her admission. It's definitely possible to get your offer taken back if you violate your contract with PSU.

MoWC, I sent you a pm. ~1mm

Thanks, guys. Hopefully she can pull things back up a little. I think sometimes it is hard to judge how much you are slipping. You don't know how to work hard enough to get a B- it's like you get an A or else it all goes to h---.

Don't worry at all. My daughter is a freshman at Penn State. Once you are in they do not ask for a copy of the final transcripts.

Are you sure? Don't they ask for proof of graduation which includes your grades?

I'd imagine that They'd just make sure that you Actually got your diploma and didn't get arrested. At least I hope.

They better not kick me out for having my GPA drop .2 points

I'm pretty sure Schreyer asked for the final transcript last year.
