Every answer on the test is correct. He says we have to choose the answer that is the "most" correct.

And this is very dumb and hard :(

My sister is in 8th grade and wouldnt be caught dead worrying about all As and 2 Bs on CC.

Those type of questions aren't that hard. Just use the process of elimination.

Too bad you have to use the Pageant book. It's really boring to read. Our class switched to The Enduring Vision because my teacher hated the Pageant.

And I also have to take a test but, it's on Monday, so I'm just going to reread the chapters and skim through my outlines on Sunday.

Does Enduring Vision prepare you better for such questions/tests?

mr_chipset do you do all this studying in one night?

As I said: nope. I spent four hours on chapter on weekends and then it all works before tests/quizzes.

Progress report time!
I had 572/600 last time, now 579. And I've raised up 10 points in English to 90..Dropping 3 around the other classes. 96.5 current average.

i'm essentially running a 4.0 right now. Not bad for someone w/ a 3.3 avg. gpa :)

Wait - it takes four hours to read one chapter of the Pageant? How many chapters are there?

It's just so boring. You have to calculate the amount of time you spend falling asleep and/or rereading the same sentences as well.

Outlining also takes time.

ok, why not

IB Physics II: A
IB Senior Sci. Investigations: A
IB Spanish: A
IB Math II (Calc): C (dont even get me started, over half the class is literally failing b/c of our horrible teacher!)
Journalism 4: A
IB English II: A
IB Topics: A

The Enduring Vision is easier to read because it has more social history. However, to some people, it won't matter because history = boring to them. Of course, because The Enduring Vision has more social history, my teacher puts social history questions on his quizzes, which makes them alot harder than the American Pageant quizzes.

They'd have questions like: What were the attitudes of the Westerners toward the Easterners? (that question is easy, but you get the idea)

With the Pageant, questions looked like: Why didn't the Whigs win the presidential election of 1836?

I like history, so neither book was TOO bad to read. I like The Enduring Vision more though.

So studying by Enduring Vision for American Pageant test wouldn't benefit?

It might. They are different books....The Enduring Vision goes into more detail, which can be a bad thing.

I've studied from APUSH test prep books....mainly the Kaplan and Princeton review ones and they have helped me with the Pageant tests.

how can it be a bad thing. if anything it will prepare you for the tests.

pageant is kinda like the factual info while Vision is like the social aspects of history.

in fact, i just ordered the book for 5 bucks off of ebay!

It also is more like a college textbook meaning it has higher vocabulary, but you probably won't have a problem with that.

econ/gov D
calc ab B
french 4 A
chem B
eng lit A

yeah. hopefully i can raise the Bs to A by the end of the quarter.

and quite frankly, id be happy with a B in econ/gov at the end of the semester.

Calc AP - A+
English - A
Dance - A
Spanish II - A+
History - B+
Chem AP - B+

Those books aren't actual college textbooks that are just used for AP, then? What?
