Grades

I'm sooo worried.

I had a 4.0 when I applied to S and got in.

Now, I have some A's, mostly B's and a C due to taking 7 courses, 5 of which are APs, 1 multivariable, etc.

Is this worthy of notifying Stanford? or Stanford notifying me?

The drop in grades is due mostly to the challening coarse load.

I'm wondering this too, does anyone have any stories of past stanford acceptees maybe getting their acceptances rescinded or threatened to be rescinded and what their grades were?

Check the older threads. Somewhere in this one there's a story about a kid who got a D and Stanford threatened to revoke his admission until he got it changed to a C-.

You'll be notifying Stanford when you send out your mid-year report...I don't think you're expected to notify them any sooner than that.

i was in the same predicament as a senior. i had gotten in early with a unweighted 3.99...and senior year i took 5 APs, 7 total courses, and came out with 4 Bs. They sent me a letter telling me to get my butt in gear and that they were concerned w/ the decline in grades, etc...but I got the same grades both semesters...and I wasn't declined. I really don't know what the policy is, but as with any other college acceptance, be careful. With the grades you listed above, I think Stanford will definitely notify you...give them a call if you're worried, let them know...good luck!
