Hi I am a sophomore in high school and I was wondering whether a b+ in ap world history would affect my chances of getting into princeton. I have all a/a+ in all my other classes. I am taking/took all honors and APs . I am attending syosset high school which is a top ranked school.

This b+ was in freshman year

Having a 4.0 is not a requirement to be admitted to PTon, you know.

Ya but do you think one b+ Is ok?

yes. if you don’t get into Princeton, it will not be because of that b+ in freshman year.
keep working hard, keep your grades up. do well on your standardized testing. be a good citizen and involved in out of classroom activities of some sort.
best of luck.

“Ya but do you think one b+ Is ok?” What is NOT okay is your inability to grasp and your seeming anxiety that not everyone who is admitted to Princeton et al. are not perfect 4.0 students. Like peanut said: you certainly might get rejected but it won’t be because of your single B+. Please don’t be one of those grade grubbing, class rank defending lemmings who must-be-at-the-top-or-the-world-collapses kind of student.

Correct me if I’m wrong about this, but doesn’t Princeton ignore freshman grades? Irregardless, like others have said, a single B+ won’t be the reason you’re rejected.
