<p>I answered! i said final grades. they see your final year average for each course. Also, they barely(if at all) look at freshman year grades, some even re-calculate gpa to exclude freshman year.</p>

<p>Isn't your final grade a semester grade as well? If your school is on the semester schedule (two semesters a year), colleges see grades from both semesters.</p>
<p>It depends on how your school works. If your school is on a semester system, then colleges will only look at your semester grades, if your school is on a year-long system, then colleges will only look at your final grades.</p>
<p>But really kid, you're a freshman, its not healthy for you to be thinking about college this early. Its only going to stress you out and make you do things you don't want to do.</p>

<p>Okay...My school works the same way. We have quarter grades, which each count for a percentage of our final grade. The "left-over" percentage comes from the final exam. Only the semester grades show up on our transcripts. We have two semesters a year. Two quarters per semester. Our final exam grades and quarter grades do NOT show up on our transcripts.</p>
<p>Oh, and to answer your question...they look at ALL grades on your transcript....not just, for example, your second semester grades.</p>
