Grading at BC?

I know that a lot of the other universities and colleges they grade according to the bell curve where only a certain amount of people get A’s, a certain amount get B’s and so on. I was wondering if BC does this and if it doesn’t how hard is it to get an A?

Most colleges grade on a bell-curve-like system. At BC, teachers are supposed to only give the top 10% of kids in each class an A, 10% an A- the majority of kids a B or B+, and only the slackers lower than a B- or C+. So technically your grade depends on how everyone else in the class does, which makes sense. I know in one theater class, the average grade was like a 93, and the professor would of got into trouble if they had given half the class A’s…

Of course, alot of teachers don’t follow this system and give out way more A’s and A-'s than the guidelines say they should. In short, if you are smart and work hard you will do well, just like any other college. That said, getting an A is not easy, and frankly it shouldn’t be at a university like BC.

It really depends on the professor. I honestly don’t think most professors grade based on a bell curve. Most of them follow a 93-100 (A), 90-93 (A-), 87-90 (B+), etc. grading system. With that said, for the ones who have graded according to some kind of curve, it’s generally been curved to a B+ (mean).
