Grading at SU?

How is grading at Syracuse? Is it tough? How hard is it to get REALLY (REALLY) good grades there? Compared to other schools?

can't tell you specifically compared to other schools, but grading largely depends on the courses you take. if all you care about is a solid GPA, then talk to upperclassmen/check ratemycourse and find out what the jock courses are. but honestly, nothing you've got the prereqs for should be too difficult as long as you're willing to put in some effort. my grades have been fine so far and it's not a huge concern for merit aid--most you just need to keep a 3.0 or 3.2.

just to let you know--
A 4.0
A- 3.66
B+ 3.33
and so on...the more credits a course is worth, the more it counts in your total GPA. you can take courses outside your major pass/fail but it's generally frowned upon by grad schools unless it's a "pure elective"--phys ed class, or an art/music class completely unrelated to your major.

good luck!
