<p>well we got our first midterm results back for MCB 102, and I was initially quite disappointed with my score...but the mean was much lower than i expected... which made me feel a lot better.</p>
<p>and now i'm wondering how do they usually grade in these upper div bio classes? they only mentioned that the mean/median is assigned a B-, and so would one standard deviation above the mean give you something in the low As?</p>
<p>i'm not too familiar with the grading curves here at berkeley</p>
