I wanted to see if anyone knew how the grading curve at the Marshall School works. Is it a big issue? How hard is it to get A's?

The curve is set at a B for core classes and a B+ for upper division classes.
The ease of getting an A depends on the type of class. If a class is more difficult, there's more variety in grades. If the class is easy so there isn't as much grade distribution, then everyone ends up with B's.
For example, in BUAD 250a (financial acct) last semester you needed to get at least 85% to get a solid A.
In marketing, the class average was around 80% so the curve brought everyone's grade up a step (ex. B- to B)

I don't find the curve to be a bad thing except when a professor grades easy because then everyone gets the same grade.
