Grading Curves?

Which classes tend to have the hardest and easiest grading curves, in terms of the lowest score needed for an A-?

The ones I'm particularly interested in knowing the number grades required for an A- (as a Stern freshman this fall) are:
Microeconomics
Calc I (would it beneficial to take it easy freshman year and take a class I could place out of for an A?)
Calc III
Writing the Essay

I also plan on majoring in Chemistry, as well, so any info regarding intro Chem and other required science classes could be helpful (took AP exam this year, expecting 4/5, not sure if that'll do anything).

DK about the Stern classes, but Writing the Essay tends to have a difficult curve where a one point difference can put you in the B/ B+ range. I think my S got a 89 on one assignment and that was a “B.” A 90 would have been an “A-.”
