<p>Was just wondering how is UVM's grading policy? Is it deflation or inflation? Any positives or negatives that I should know about as a freshman.</p>

<p>I am flying from California, to Vermont in the next couple of weeks to visit the campus along with relatives in Burlington.</p>
<p>Also is the a Persian community in Burlington??? Just wondering. Here in LA there is a huge community of Persians.</p>
<p>I don't know much about grade inflation in general, but I know that it varies by department. For the most part there is some inflation, but some departments such as Chemistry are trying to address that.</p>
<p>As for the Persian community, I'm sure you've heard of UVM's lack of diversity. There are definitely communities for ethnic groups on and off campus, but they probably won't be specific to the Persian community.</p>

<p>I also don't know too much about grade inflation, but I do know that UVM is trying to increase its diversity and has a lot of programs in place for students from diverse backgrounds. You should check out the ALANA Center when you visit. It's geared toward providing students from diverse backgrounds with a sense of community.</p>
