Hiya,

I'm just wondering out of curiosity what constitutes, say, and A- or an A or B+ or w/e at Tulane (%'s) and what is a good gpa and the scale they use.

It depends on the teacher, what the cuttoff for an a or a- is. But it's the standard A = 4.0, A- = 3.67, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.0, B- = 2.67

As far as what a good gpa is, it's the same as everywhere. 3.0 = good, 3.5 = great, 3.7 = fantastic. I'd say the exception is engineering where gpas tend to be lower because of the rigor of courses (like taking calc and physics and chem at the same time)
