Grading Scale

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question coming from a reach candidate, but I'm just curious...does UNC grade things on a 10 point scale or a 7 point scale?

In other words, does UNC recalculate transcripts with different unweighted grading scales?

If I remember correctly, you’re instate.

The only GPA I remember UNC publishing is weighted GPA. Therefore it most likely doesn’t consider high school grades on 10 points vs. 7 points neither is it likely that it recalculates any grades… because while they can consider individual cases, they have no need to formally recalculate it.

If you’re talking about transferring in courses… Your GPA from wherever you transfer from wont transfer with you. You start out with a 0.00 GPA once admitted.

The credits you receive from the course and the letter grade will be the same as is displayed on whatever transcript is sent in.

I’m pretty sure the OP is an instate high school student
