Quick Question? Is the grading system at WashU different between engineers vs the students in the college of arts and sciences?
It shouldn’t be.
I’m a bit confused on what you mean by “grading system.” The whole university is on a 4.0 scale, if that’s what you mean. If you’re talking about curves, that’s done independently in each class. My BME 140 professor curved the class such that the average of the highest four scores in the class became the new 100%. My EnMath professor didn’t curve the class. Some professors say that a 93 is an A, and some say that an 85 is an A. It all depends on how that professor wants to grade their class, and it has little to do with the college of origin.
