Graduate early?

What's the fastest an average hardworking student graduates from Columbia?

How do they do it? I want to try to graduate in three years if possible, because I'm not getting any financial aid but my family isn't exactly rich. I know Columbia offers summer courses...do they offer winter courses? I know that Rutgers University offers winter courses...

Also, are summer courses harder/easier to get good grades than typical ones?

You won't graduate in less than four years. At least it is very unlikely. I've not met anyone who has. I'm sure there must be some out there. But none among my colleagues or members of the alumni association.

my interviewer graduated wtih a double major in three years so i guess its possible

that's pretty crazy, to do all the core requirements and your major/concentration requirements. . . . you would have no time to take any classes outside what you really have to take. But the kids who do the double-degree program with Columbia and Juilliard have to graduate from Columbia in three years. They accept almost nobody, and once you're in, you just try surviving! (There is a four-year exchange with Juilliard, though, (get a degree from Columbia only) for anyone who's a musician and wants to study at Juilliard but is getting scared right now. . . .)

and since you asked, if you took summer courses, you'd have to pay for them anyway, and they would prevent you from earning much money over the summer or interning

yeah..the guy got degrees in history and biology or something but he said he took lots of APs and received credit for them. i guess AP tests and summer classes make it possible.
