I’m a one year transfer already. I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you’re not planning on having a social life anyway…

As long as you don’t plan on doing a minor, and you’re not going to Cal or Merced it’s very do-able. I transfered to Davis fall 2009, and I have 4 major classes left. But I came in with all lower div filled, 105 units that transfered from jc, and ap credits that I didn’t apply till I got here, which here do count outside of the 105 unit cap.

AP units count for you in the most favorable way.
They add to your unit count when you want that to hit 60 units or to meet grad requirements, but do not when you don’t want to exceed unit count (such as when you’re transferring). Each campus has specific rules about how many units must be competed in at that UC to obtain their degree.

Too lazy to check if anyone said it already, but the maximum course load at UCSB allowed is 21 units per quarter. So no, it isn’t feasible that you can do it.

@DrAhumada-
I’m pretty sure all UC counselors can sign you off and allow you to take more than the school’s ‘maximum’ number of credits. All you gotta do is make an appointment.

To OP, have fun hating school. What good are you to employers if you only have theoretical knowledge of whatever you learned. Try to enjoy school and get involved in clubs/projects and learn something tangible.
