Hi everyone! Is it possible to graduate at UC Berkeley in three years or at least three and half years? I am planning to major in Chemical Engineering or EE? should I attend summer school before freshman year?

Yes, though it depends on your advanced credit going in and whether you are willing to take overload schedules. EECS is probably easier to graduate early in than chemical engineering.

I would not recommend planning or depending on that, unless you have a lot of credit going in that is applicable to lower division requirements.

I did obtain the credits necessary to graduate in three years, although my major was political science and I did summer classes for two years. But yes it is certainly doable.

It definitely is. It’s just that you’re going to have to get used to studying a lot (especially in a science major). You certainly won’t be able to go out with friends every night because you’ll constantly be working on the next problem set.

It’s certainly possible! I’m actually planning on a double major (MCB and Math) in 3 years. I have a bunch of AP Credits and I’m skipping Bio 1A/1B, Chem 1A, Math 1A/1B/53, R1A/B, and I still have to take 4 or 5 classes every semester. It’s definitely possible, but you have to be really motivated.

College is more than getting a degree.

You can do it, but I personally wont recommend it.
