<p>@emengee. congrats for your admission to stony brook, ucla and rutgers! u said that one of your reu’s was laughable…is it the one at lafayette, or something earlier? i am applying for reu’s this year…i am a sophomore, will be applying to grad school in 2 yrs. would u recommend algebra or geometry at lafayette, or no? which one is better?</p>
<p>None of the REUs are laughable. I meant that I had this completely undirected summer research experience that was laughable. The Lafayette REU was great; the research groups were set up pretty well, we were able to get to know each other well and form bonds, and we ended up going to a conference. It was actually a great experience for undergrads.</p>
