I'm looking at the MSF program at John Hopkins. Anyone know about its reputation and job placement for previous graduates?

First, it is important to get the school name right ... it is:
Johns Hopkins

Second, I recommend you take a look at the Graduate Admissions web site:
Johns Hopkins University: Full-time Graduate Studies

Finally, I am not sure how much feedback you will get on CC about graduate studies at Hopkins. Almost everyone that I know on these forums who attend Hopkins are here as undergraduates. My role is solely undergraduate as well. That is why once again I recommend the Graduate Admissions web site and contact their office directly for more information.

Good luck, and remember not to forget the "S" in our name.

Thanks Dan for your reply. Sry that I missed the "S", now that I'll use abbreviation JHU to avoid such things.

Indeed I did a research on my own before I started asking question here. And the specific program that I'm looking for is MSc in Finance, a rare program that very few school in the US offers. The curriculum at JHU looks pretty decent, and I'm just concern about the job placement and "real stories" which are not available on school's website

If you are looking at the MSc in Finance that you actually are looking at the Carey School of Business which is one of the many divisions of the Johns Hopkins Institutions.

The Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University-Master of Science in Finance

The Carey School of Business is quite new (it opened its doors in Jan. 2007) so I am not sure there is going to be a lot of information out there about outcomes. Good luck.

Just a note, while the School of Business opened in 2007, the MSc Finance program has been around since 2000 under the former School of Professional Studies in Business and Education (SPSBE). As for outcomes data, I don't know anyone in that program, so you might want to contact the program administrators directly?

Sure do that, thanks -

Yup indeed this type of degree is quite new and only a very limited number of schools in the US that offer it. I found the information available for this program at any school is very limited :(

Good luck ... and if you find any helpful information please post it here so we can share with future students who might be looking at the same program.
