I am graduating in May (from US university) in Botany and want to go to UK for masters degree. (After masters, I may go to medical school but have not decided yet.) I want to get a masters in a field that would be useful for medical school; I am thinking biomedical sciences. Would Oxbridge be good selection? How difficult is it to get into Oxbridge? Are there other schools that have well respected biomedical science (or similar) programs? What other universities should I consider? I have also been thinking of Edinburgh, UCL, and a few others. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated.

You don’t need the masters for med school, and that is a ton of time/expense to add a masters. Others can answer the questions about programs, but just saying… it seems pretty clear you want to go to med school, since you don’t have a masters field selected.

Title should have stated graduate schools at UK universities not OK.

Nobody can recommend you a university or programme; it all depends on your interests. Do your own research, after all you want to take a research degree.
