Graduating Early

Would graduating a semester or whole year early decrease your chances of getting into law school?

I graduated a semester early and I don't think it's negatively affected my cycle. If you graduate an entire year early and go straight to law school, it's possible that your age might work against you. I doubt it, though, because you'd only be one year younger than most people applying to law school right after college. For the most part, law schools care about your LSAT score and your GPA.

I believe in nearly all professions a younger age always works in your favor. Age is a uni-directional. You only get older. If it works against you now, it'll work for you in the future so you really lose nothing by being younger.

i graduated in 3 yrs and applied straight to law school. so speaking from experience i would say it doesn't have a big effect at all, and may only come into play if you are a borderline applicant. my numbers were hovering around a school's median and i didn't get into that one, but my EC's were a tad below average so that may have been it.

Are EC's that important? About how many EC's are "average?"

i dont think graduating in 3 years hurts u. Some schools even have 3-3 programs where u g to law school after junior year
