Just curious,

Is it possible to graduate in 3 years and is this often done? Columbia requires a minimum of 124 points to graduate, so assuming you take 5-6 courses a semester, this seems doable.

yes it is possible, some folks do it, some folks have the full semester of ap credit, some folks do summer school.

of the people who i know that have done it, most did it for money reasons, reducing strain on parents or themselves.

but if money isn’t an issue, graduating early is not an advantage, i’d say. you lose out on a true internship opportunities that happen usually after junior year, you have this weird relationship with your class year, don’t get to take advantage of the city as much (a draw for going to columbia, should use it).

It’s possible. With the maximum number of AP credits (16), you don’t even need to overload on classes/credits. But admissionsgeek is right. You’re giving up quite a bit. Know what you’re trading.
