Hello. I am currently registered as a sophomore but with the help of my Guidance Counselors I am scheduled to graduate next year. I am simply posting this to get feedback from those of you, who graduated in three years(was it really as stressful as everyone's making it seem). Please write back!

It depends on why/how you’re skipping I guess. I’m a sophomore right now too and can easily graduate next year because I’m ahead on my credit requirements. I don’t think it would be stressful though even if you were right on pace with credits. Are you taking classes this summer?

1) what sorts of colleges are you targeting?
2) in graduating earlier than usual, will you have exhausted the suite of honors/AP classes at your HS? If not, then you are making a mistake to come out early.

Most applicants to top colleges probably met their state minimums for a HS diploma probably shortly after their soph year. But chose to stay and take the very rigorous options. Early grad is advisable only if you have extenuating circumstances or have already exhausted your school’s offerings.

Being an early graduate confers no advantage in college admissions per se.

i wouldnt do it. i had the credits to graduate freshman year, and so do a lot of people. but 99% of them choose to keep going for social reasons. sure youd be able to handle college academically, but you wouldnt be as mature socially, and that would stunt you for the rest of your life. also, top colleges dont like to accept students who skip grades. i know 3 people skipping grades and all are going to either state school (which isnt bad, but they could do better) or community college. they did it for the wrong reasons. if your school can still challenge you, i would stay there. if not, i would consider maybe parallel studying at a community college. i wouldnt graduate early. but its up to you
