so what happens if you go over your two years by one quarter. Would you have to wait an extra year to graduate even though you only need to take classes that fall quarter?

i think you would have to wait the extra time in order to walk at the ceremony

Yes. Why would you want to graduate so soon? To save money?
Theres more to college than just academics & getting a degree.

lol… radiance. Seeing as how id be living on campus id rather graduate in 2 years. Hell yeah i wana save money im poor haha

You just apply to graduate whatever quarter it may be. there’s only one graduation ceremony though and that’s in June. So if you graduate in Fall, you can’t walk until June.

Two years is really, really pushing it if you’re a freshman…I sure hope you have like 90 units coming in and are a non-science major and are willing to take summer school. Otherwise you might not even get into the classes you need…especially labs for science majors.

oh wow yeah… that sucks ; / sorry forgot to mention im not a freshman im a transfer. Now ill really want to finish in two haha. Thanks i_lose that’s exactly the answer i was looking for.

so far no one’s given the right answer

being in the ceremony for your college only requires you to have at least 135 units (senior standing) and that you purchase your ceremony ticket. you may only walk once, but you can do it whenever as long as its the quarter youre filing for graduation or before that quarter.

you file for ACTUAL GRADUATION (i.e., petitioning for your diploma/degree) when youre actually done with your coursework.

As biopsychosocial said, you can walk before graduating.
